Heiferfest III

HeiferFest-III is the third event of its kind, to raise money to buy farm animals, supplies, and equipment for people in developing countries.

The success of HeiferFest grows greater each year. In 2007, the goal of HeiferFest was to purchase one cow for $500. A total of $1,552 was raised at the one-night event, which enabled the purchase of two cows, one goat, one pig, two flocks of chicks and tree seedlings for numerous communities around the world. In 2008, HeiferFest – PartDeux surpassed its goal of $2000, raising more than $2,200 to purchase items for development projects across eight developing countries.

On May 30, 2009, HeiferFest III, at the Cock and the Lion Pub on Sparks Street, is set to raise $2, 500.

The funds raised at the event will go to CHF (formerly the Canadian Hunger Foundation), an Ottawa-based NGO that enables poor rural communities in developing countries attain sustainable livelihoods. To find out more about CHF, please visit www.chf-partners.ca.Your contributions would ensure that this event is an enriching cultural experience for all participants, and help take a small step towards the elimination of hunger. I will contact you by phone to discuss this further and see if you are interested in donating materials. Please feel free to call or email me.
